Day 5 - Hollywood Studios

Since we were well rested from our previous day, we made it to Hollywood Studios before it even opened. We were lined up with the rest of the crowd, ready to run to get a fastpass for Tower of Terror or the Rock N Roller Coaster. It ended up that since it wasn't crowded, one of us was able to get right on, then use the rider swap feature to let the other one ride. Both of us were able to ride the Tower of Terror and the Rock N Roller Coaster within the first half hour of being at the park. After getting in the adult rides, we made sure we got in plenty of rides for the girls.

We really enjoyed the shows at Hollywood Studios, including the Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage show, Voyage of the Little Mermaid, and Playhouse Disney - Live on Stage. We tried to watch the Lights, Motors, Action Extreme Stunt Show, but it was the one thing the girls didn't want to watch (they were bored and squirmy). We discovered a FANTASTIC new ride at Hollywood Studios - Toy Story Mania. In this new ride, we sat 2 to a car, and we each had a gun and 3-D glasses. As we went through the ride, the car rotated, and we shot our gun at targets we could view in 3-D on the screens in front of us. Micah definitely was the winner of the target shooting! Since the Muppet Vision 3-D movie was our 3rd time wearing 3-D glasses, the girls were finally getting the hang of it, and weren't scared of it anymore (but I think I did see Micah snoozing during the movie since we watched it right after lunch).

We ate lunch (12:20 reservations) at the 50's PrimeTime Cafe, and had delicious down-home cooking. SB got to spend the rest of her money at Hollywood Studios and got a hair wrap (sorry, I don't have any pictures). She loved having it in her hair, and it lasted about 6 weeks after our trip.

Late in the afternoon, we found the spot where all the characters congregated, and we got lots of pictures and autographs, including Chip & Dale, Winnie the Pooh, Mary Poppins, Mr. Incredible and Frozone, and Pinochio & Gepeto.

After dark, we were able to see that the "Streets of America" section was completely decorated with Christmas lights. It was a fantastic light show timed with wonderful Christmas music. There definitely was a lot of "Happy Holidays" at Disney, but we were excited to see that at Hollywood Studios, there was a fairly large and prominent nativity scene set up.

The girls' favorite TV show (right now) is Jake and the NeverLand Pirates, so they were excited to have their picture taken by this sign. I guess no one has to teach a girl about rivalry or jealousy because AM planted herself in front of Izzy (the little girl in the show) and would not move over, no matter what we did.
