In the month of May, our AM said, "Goodbye," to her beloved bappie (aka - pacifier). She has been much more attached to it than her big sister, so we had been dreading taking it from her (she had already been limited to having it only at naptime and night-night time). When the pacifier broke recently, we decided to take advantage of the 'opportunity' to totally get rid of it. We were pleseantly surprised that she transitioned to post-bappie life very well. She only cried for it a few times, and none of those times were at the expected nightime hour. After a few days she found the 'back-up' pacie in her backpack (pictured with it in her mouth below), but we were able to help her understand that only babies need pacifiers, and she willingly gave it to a baby-friend at church. Now that we've conquered the pacifier, I'm sure potty training will be a snap! Ha!
