Halloween Hayride

A couple in our SS class invited our class over to their house for a Halloween hayride, bonfire and trunk-or-treat. We were glad to go, as we welcome any opportunity for the girls to wear their Halloween costumes. They both dressed as ballerinas again. AM was particularly enthusiastic about eating the cake someone brought (as shown below).

This was actually a meaningful day for our SS class because we were able to give away a car to a couple who needed it. Our class has been trying to serve the Lord in many ways, and about a year ago, someone in our group had a car they didn't need anymore, but needed some fixing. Well, another guy in our group is a mechanic. The couple with the car donated the car, the rest of us donated money and time, and the mechanic (plus some other guys) fixed up the car. We had been praying for the right family to come along, and right when the car was finished, another couple put us in touch with a family here for ministerial training who needed a car. We were excited to meet the family the night of our hayride, and spend some time getting to know them. They shared that they had been saving for a car, but had felt the Lord lead them to give all the money they had saved to someone else who needed it more than them. Then, our class gave them a car plus a small monetary donation, and they shared the amount of money we gave them was the exact amount they had given away. We praised God for His ability to go above and beyond our imaginations!
