Decorating the Tree (or were we really just playing on the ladder?)

Why couldn't they just make ladders closer to the ground so my girls can play on them without me being fearful of them falling on their heads? Apparently, the ladder is the girls' new favorite toy. Once the ladder came out during our Christmas decorating, they forgot about everything else, and just climbed and climbed. So, our "Christmas Decorating" pictures became "Ladder Climbing" pictures instead.
