After a week full of Halloween festivities, the actual day finally arrived. And it was as busy as the week had been. We had regular church activities in the morning, then we had a carnival/festival at church in the afternoon, then home for our girls' first ever Trick-or-Treating in the neighborhood. I asked SB what her favorite things were, and this is what she said: riding the horse and giving out the candy (so, does that mean that next year we can skip the trick-or-treating part and just stay home and give out candy?). Oh, and by the end of the night, AM definitely figured out if she said something that sounded vaguely similar to "trcktret" people would put yummy stuff in her bucket. After leaving each house, she would scream, "Bite!" until we caved in and gave her a piece of candy. Isn't this family time and memory building what parenthood is all about! I'm so thankful for my family (oh wait, isn't there another holiday coming up soon where we remember to be thankful?)!
